Vital Portraits

Vital Portraits is a portrait series that uses galvanic skin response data to alter the image of the subject. As portraits often attempt to portray the individual as they are in reality, here biological data is used to illustrate an alternative attempt at representing objectivity while not necessarily getting closer. The series is part of a larger project – visually representing people’s image and identity through their biology.

The project uses processing, a diy gsr sensor and arduino.
